Researching Film Companies - Independent UK Institutions:

On the other hand of the spectrum, moving on from the biggest film distributors of the world, there are also many others in the UK; the independent film institutions. Below are some examples.

Film 4:-
Film4 is a free digital television channel in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland, owned and operated by Channel 4, that screens films. Film4 was originally known as FilmFour and became Channel 4's second channel (after Channel 4 itself) when it launched on 1 November 1998. Films that film4 have produced include: Inbetweeners Movie, Inbetweeners 2, 12 years a slave, 127 hours, A field in England

Warp:-
With funding from NESTA, Warp Films company was set up in 1999. It is a small film company that is based in Sheffield, England, but also has offices in London. There has not been many released films with Warp, yet two famous examples are both Shane Meadows This is England and Dead Man's Shoes.

Working Title:-
Working Title Films is a British film production company, based in London, England. The company was founded by Tim Bevan and Sarah Radclyffe in 1984. It produces feature films and some television productions. Films produced by Working title include Wild child, Hot Fuzz, Nanny Mcphee, and Shaun of the Dead.

Again, these are necessary to research because i need to think about what film company/institution is gonna own the film that my trailer will be advertising, therefore i am trying to gather as much knowledge as possible of existing companies.
