As i am creating products for my main and 2 ancillary tasks, i thought it would be a good idea to plan the layout of them out on paper, so that i will have a planned guideline set out on how to structure each of the products. I may change or alter some of the decisions made on these flat plans, however i think its very useful to have a base that i can refer back to.
This is my flat plan for my film poster. I am still not overly sure on what subject to use for my main image, and i think i will try out both ideas during my photo-shoot, however i am certain on the rest of the design in my flat plan. I have made the main image the focus of my poster, as it is what will draw the most people, due to the fact that main images are usually the primary focus of the film poster. Because of this, i need a powerful main image, because i think first impressions are crucial when it comes to film posters, as it will help the viewers decide whether or not to see the film. I have made sure to include the credit to the actors and actresses at the top of the page, as if this were for a real film, the famous actor/actresses may help influence the viewers into watching the film.
