Designing my Company Logo:

In order to create a believable film company, i need to create a logo which i will most likely show in my film trailer.  Below is my thoughts and processes when designing my film institution logo.

First of all, i knew that my general idea was a dragonfly inside of a square, therefore i first drew out the shape on photoshop using the ellipse tool, before placing it inside of a box. From here, i needed to decide on my color scheme. Below are a few different try-outs of different colours.

Out of all of these colours, i thought that the red one looked the best, as red is the strongest color out of all of them, therefore the white dragonfly looks the most vibrant when contrasting against it. Below is the Red one.

Next i knew i wanted to have the name of the company below the icon, here is my initial attempt

I thought this looked okay, however when i thought about it in my film trailer, i thought that it might not be clear to viewers what it actually is, as i have abbreviated it here from 'dragonfly films' to just 'dragonfly'. Because of this, i have included the full name title below, which i have decided to use as my final design. I also have added drop shadows to the image and text, as i felt as though the design looked a little too flat/2D.
