Planning my own Film Company / Institution:

I have decided to create my own institution, as i feel as though my film trailer won't be of a high enough quality in order for it to be produced by a well known established company such as Film 4 or Time Warner. Not only this, but if i were to make it seem as though it was made by a well established company, it would have to compete with the likes of Universal and Disney in the film market, which is almost impossible due to the limitations of me making a film maker in college. Below are my initial thoughts.

Name:
I think i would like to call my institution 'Dragonfly Films', as i already had an idea in my head of what  i want the logo to look like, and it fits in perfectly with the name 'Dragonfly Films'. After doing some research, i have found that the dragon fly represents change, along with relaxation. I think this is quite suitable for my institution name, as my films are bringing a change into the film industry, as i am creating a brand new institution. The concept of relaxation is also relevant, as when i think about watching films i think about relaxing on the sofa or in bed, and i think this connotation is also familiar to a lot of other people too.

Logo:
I want my logo to be a coloured square with a white silhouette of a dragonfly inside, partially cropping it. Underneath i want the word 'dragonfly' to be wrote in capital letters, with the colors being inverted from the main design. I am unsure on what colour i want to use right now, however i know i want it to be a bright colour in order to contrast well against the white.

Based:
I want my company to be based in England, as i am trying to create the impression of an independent british film. I feel as though a likely and obvious choice is London, as they have the most potential to make films due to the higher budgets than the lesser known cities, therefore i think i am going to go with London.

How many people work for it:
I need to think about how many employees are going to work for my film. I need to consider that there needs to be a camera crew, lighting organizers, producers, editors, a director, script writers etc. All together this reaches a total of around 40-50 people working in Dragonfly Films in order to produce my film.

Year it was founded:
I want my film institution to be relevantly new, as it is still very unknown to the general public. Because of this, i will make it range between the years 2010 and 2014 so that it is only a few years old.
